Mr. Robert Baron Jenkins bka Bob or 40 Rags was born April 15, 1946, to the union of Frank Jenkins Sr. and Evelyn Jenkins who proceeded him in death. He was second born of six siblings, all which he proceeded in death. Frank Jenkins Sr. (Henrietta), Gwendolyn Curry (Benny- deceased), Linda Hite (Tyrone Sr.), Leonard Jenkins, and Darryl Jenkins.
After attending Cleveland Public Schools, he began working at Ford Motor Company, where he later retired. In August of 1978, he met Carol Turner through a blind date at church. He “wowed” her showing up in a red, three-piece suit. After many years of dating, they welcomed three daughters to their union: Evelyn, Rhonda, and Reva Jenkins.
In his later years, he enjoyed his retirement by relaxing at home, dancing around the house, and being his own personal chef. He constantly gave out cooking advice and had no problems letting anyone know when something didn’t taste right and wasn’t to his liking. He was a wonderful father, so naturally, an amazing grandfather as well. He took great pride in being a grandfather and spoiling his three granddaughters: Ray’gen, Ava, and Kennedy, absolutely rotten. He leaves behind a host of family, friends, and neighbors that will miss his talks, stories, and charming personality.
Humbly submitted,
His daughters
