Robert J. Thomas, Sr. was born on November 1, 1942 in Akron, Ohio to the late Mordis and Lela Jones Thomas. He attended East High School and graduated from North High School. He worked at General Tire, FW Albrecht company and retired from Summit County Water Department. He attended the University of Akron. He was a member of The House of The Lord and was a Deacon and worked Security. He held a certification in Grief Recovery. He will be missed by all who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pastor Norma J. Thomas; brothers, Tony, Richard and Kenneth; and sister, Susan Marie Thomas.

He leaves to mourn his passing, daughter, Tawana Colette of Conyers, GA and Robert James Jr. (Valerie) of Akron OH; only grandchild, Lydia Danielle of Lithonia, GA; brother, Glenn Thomas of Akron, OH; special aunt, Jewell Jones; special cousin, Karen L. McKinney; special life-long friends, Willie Robinson, Willie Reynolds and Willie Benson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
