Robert W. Payne, Jr. passed away on July 25, 2021. He was born May 8, 1942, in Emmett, WV. The family moved to Akron, OH, where he attended Akron Public Schools and later entered the U.S. Army. He worked various jobs the last one was at GOJO Industries, Inc.
He loved to walk, play cards, and had nicknames for everyone. He was a very kind and caring person, who loved his Cleveland Browns.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and LaVerne Payne; brother, Kenneth Payne; sisters, Ramona Payne, Rose Payne, and Deloris Banks.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Yolanda “Landy” Horton; brother, Ronald (Lola) Payne; sister, Wanda Wade and a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.
