Ruby was born November 26, 1934, in Milledgeville, Georgia. She was one of five children born into the union of Charles Sanford and Eceaile Watson. Ruby accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at Saint Mary’s Church in Milledgeville, Georgia. She was wed in holy matrimony in 1951 to Joe Walter Daniel, Sr. They moved to Akron, Ohio in 1953, where she joined in fellowship with the Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend William C. Upshaw. She faithfully served the church as a member and Deaconess for a number of years, for as long as she was physically able. Ruby worked for the state of Ohio for 32 years, until she retired in early 2002. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for others; most of all she was a person who loved God giving of herself and asking for nothing in return.
