Ruthell McGainey Carter, age 76. On January 21, 2020 Ruthell fell asleep until the second coming of Christ.
Ruthell is survived by her beloved husband, Clyde Bernard Carter; children, Darrel (Dawn) Carter Sr., LuToni “Tony” Carter, Emilio Lee, Roberto Lee; siblings, Carol (Lucius) Brunson, Thelma (Harry) Williams, Janet Fairclough, Marion (Janie) McGainey, Loretta (Michael) Gilmore, Mildred (Brian) Williams, Shelia (Michael) Drummond, Queen (Allan) Deschamps, Sheila (Melvin) Parham-Davis, Roy (Bettye) Parham, Bernard (Gwen) Parham, Reginald Parham; grandchildren, Darrel Carter Jr., Donte Carter, Caleb Jeffrey, Keziah Lee, Ra’Mari Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relative and friends, and the many children and young people she cared for including God-daughters Ella and Emilia Alderman.
Ruthell is preceded in death by her parents: Willie Mae & Fermon McGainey Sr.; siblings, Dorothy McGainey, Charles McGainey, Delores Grant, James (Joan) Parham, Brenda (Louis) Deschamps, and Fermon McGainey Jr.
