Sandra Jean Henderson was born May 5th, 1963, to Francis and James Mullins in Cleveland, Ohio.
She was a graduate from John Hay High School. Sandra had various jobs prior to finding herself settling into the cable industry for over 25 years. Sandra was a loving sister, aunt, wife, puppy mom, and friend to many. Sandra accepted Christ into her life and had a relationship with the lord. That relationship helped her to be strong through her many battles in life. Sandra resided in Cleveland and the surrounding suburbs her entire life. Sandra has five loving sister’s Frances C. Vrooman, Beverly Harbour, Karen Prince (Shannon), Janet Tucker (Jesse), Charlene Thomas (Quieto) and a loving brother, James L. Mullins.
Sandra met her husband, Derrick Henderson, many years ago. They were friends for quite some time. Later in life, the two found love together in one another and remained married for 20 years. While Sandra did not have any biological children, she loved many children as if they were her own, becoming affectionately known as “Auntie Sandy” to countless nieces and nephews with whom she leaves to cherish her loving memories: David Pryor Jr, Jeremiah Pryor (Stella), Daniel Pryor, Joshua Pryor, Jesse Tucker III (Amber), Duane Tucker, Jamielee Vrooman, Edward Prince, April Prince, Ariana Prince, Emanii Prince, Tiahnee Prince, Ricky Moorer and countless others that she adopted as a niece and/or nephew. Her last baby, Honey!! If you knew Sandra, you know her dog is her BABY!! She catered to Honey and always told her nieces and nephews, “Make sure you say hello to your cousin!!” If anyone laughed at Honey because of her big bulging eyes, Sandra made sure to remind them that Honey is family, and we don’t treat family like that with a sharp, “LEAVE MY BABY ALONE!!” or, “DON’T TALK ABOUT YOUR COUSIN LIKE THAT!!”
Honey, Ariana, Emanii and Tiahnee became the best parts of Sandra’s days and made her laugh and smile endlessly. Sandra spent alot of her time doting and loving on her great nieces, Ariana, Emanii, and Tiahnee. In her spare time outside of Honey and the girls, Sandra grew fond of the thrills of small winnings at the casino; she knew when to cut her losses and when to take her winnings and run! Sandra kept a small entertainment budget exclusively for the casino and was excited for the smallest winnings. Sandra loved endlessly, and if she knew you needed something, she would give her last and put herself in a place of need for the betterment of others. Sandra was a beautiful person with a giving heart. She loved to make others laugh; no matter the environment or the occasion, Sandra was going to make you laugh.
Sandra touched the hearts of many and put smiles on many faces. Sandra departed to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022. Sandra was called home to be with her loving mother, Francis; loving brother, James; and loving sisters, Francis and Janet. While it hurts us all to say she is gone, remember some of the funniest moments we have had with her. We can all honestly say that Sandra would want us to find something to laugh at this very moment. She will forever be missed and loved. We will never forget her bright smile and outgoing personality. We loved her, but God loved her best. God never makes a mistake by taking a wonderful angel.
