Sandra Youngblood, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, at Metro Hospital on a sunny afternoon at 1 pm, Sandra was the cherished daughter of Edna (Dennis) Alexander and John Henry Alexander. She grew up in Cleveland and attended Woolridge Elementary and Rawlings Jr. High School, where she made lasting friendships and built the foundation for a life of dedication to her family and community.
Sandra was the loving sister of George (deceased), Charles (deceased), and Barbara, sharing an unbreakable bond with them. She was a proud and faithful member of the Baptist Church, where her deep faith sustained her through life’s challenges and joys.
Sandra’s work ethic was unmatched. She spent many years working in factories and with silk screens, always providing for her family with tireless dedication. Her first marriage was to Emmett Lee Glanton Jr. (deceased), with whom she shared the joys of parenthood. After Emmett’s passing, she found love again with Carl Youngblood, her devoted second husband.
She was the proud mother of three children: Jamario Glanton Sr., Rafio Glanton Sr., and Tamiko Glanton. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she adored each one: from Jamario; Bra’Jae Glanton, Desiree Glanton, Jamario Glanton Jr., from Rafio Sr.; Rafio Glanton Jr. and Britnee Glanton, and from Tamiko; Darrell Clark. Sandra’s family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.
Sandra’s warmth, infectious smile, and joyful laugh brought light to any room. She loved cooking for her family, singing, listening to music, and filling her home with love and laughter. Her heart was open to everyone, and her support was undying. Sandra was a source of strength, comfort, and unwavering love for her family and friends.
Sandra will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved her. Her memory lives on through her children, grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by love.
