Terrence Gray was born on September 1, 1948, in Cleveland, Oh. He was the youngest of eight children born to the late Alton and Mina Gray Walker. Terry accepted Christ at a very young age. He graduated from Shaker Heights, High school and later enlisted in the Army, in 1971.
Earlier in Life Terry met Paula White, from this union two beautiful children were born Andre Bernal Gray and Greek (Ky Ky) Gray (whom preceded him in death). Terry and Jean first met in their younger years, and later in life, their paths crossed again. From that moment forward, they were inseparable creating a bond built on love, devotion, and shared adventures.
Terry affectionately known as “Shorty Rock,” lived life on his own terms, with love, laughter, and purpose. He had a passion for cooking that led him to catering, where he shared his meals with many. He loved music of all kinds, often relaxing on the deck with his favorite songs—even if it meant being eaten by mosquitoes. Terry enjoyed traveling, on numerous cruises with his life partner Jean and trips to Las Vegas to spend time with family.
He adored his two dogs, Shabba and Jack, and always had a special love for animals. Terry also lovingly supported Jean’s sister, Dorothy, showing his nurturing heart and deep commitment to family.
Terry’s career path was as diverse as his interests working in security, helping the elderly with transportation, and never limiting himself to one direction. He was always open to new experiences, loved shooting the breeze, and could light up any room as the life of the party.
Terry’s faith in God guided him, and he carried himself with unmatched style—hats, shoes, and outfits always coordinated perfectly. He was extroverted, impeccably organized, and known for keeping everything just right.
Terry’s family meant everything to him. He was honest, outspoken, and never afraid to say what was on his mind—you either liked it or you didn’t. Above all, he was a straight shooter who lived with minimal regrets.
Terry leaves behind countless memories of laughter, love, and generosity. His spirit, energy, and passion for life will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alton and Mina, his Siblings Alfred, Raymond, Jeanette, Shirley, Leonard, Barbara, Delores and his daughter Greek (Ky Ky). He leaves to Cherish his memory his Wife Jean, son Andre (Timberly) and grandchildren Tariq, Brandon, Trinity and a host of family and friends who love and celebrate his life along with us.
