Tracy Sheldon Bell passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at home on March 24, 2023.
Tracy Sheldon Bell was born on October7, 2023, to Ellis (Roach) and Delores Jean Bell in Charleston, West Virginia. He grew up in Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Tracy loved to go back to West Virginia to spend summers with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends; especially Kevin Edwards and Donnie Jones. He also had very special Ohio friends: Ricky Fedrick, Jeffrey McCail, James Bolar, and James Mace; very special cousins, Aaron Jenkins, Sheldon Bell, and Erica Jones. Tracy loved all his cousins.
Tracy attended Akron Public Schools. He played football, baseball, and basketball. He graduated from his beloved, Butchel High School, in 1981. After graduating he attended community college for a year. He also joined the United States Navy for 3 years. Following in the footsteps of his father, when he returned to civilian life he worked at Ford Motor Company for fifteen years. Later he graduated from CNC receiving his certification in Machine Operation. At the time of his death, he was employed by the Nestle Company in Solon, Ohio.
Tracy was an avid sports fan; he could answer questions about any sport with statistics from the past and present to back his answers. He was a die-hard Browns and Ohio State fan.
Tracy will be remembered for his big smile, his loud voice, and always being the smartest person in the room. His grandchildren will remember all their trips to Sweet Frog, McDonald’s, or wherever they wanted to go – and of course, going to Gino’s pizza for him.
Tracy was preceded in death by his father, Ellis W. Bell; his brother, Jeffrey M. Bell; his grandparents, Simon and Marion Bell, and Charles and Louise Jones; aunts, Marion Bell-Austin, Marsha Alston, and Linda Jones; and uncles, Donald Jones, Virgil Jones, Johnny Bell, James Bell, and Kermit Bell.
