Travis Edward Pighee, age 65, passed away on January 31, 2023.

Travis Edward Pighee affectionately known as “SPUT” was born November 27, 1957, to parents Travis Dean Pighee and Ann Kate Amy.  He was the eldest brother out of a union of five children.

He attended Cleveland Public Schools.

Travis loved his family and always had a big smile on his face, especially when he was spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a great man of faith and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He referenced his faith in God when having conversations with his family and friends.

Travis really enjoyed watching and rooting for his Cleveland Cavaliers!  He was exceptionally close to his younger brothers, Delbert, and Delano, who preceded him in death.  He missed them very much and spoke of them often when talking with his sisters Joan and Denise who he loved so much.

He was always a Grandma and Momma’s boy, he was very close to his mother and maternal grandmother who also preceded him in death.

After many years of struggling through life’s challenges, he was on his way to the wonderful life he deserved.  His strength and determination lead him to the life he wanted for himself.  He was employed at NCBA performing work that he enjoyed and prided himself in his ability to make sure that he never missed a day of work.  Travis was always willing to help his family and friends in any way he could.  No job was too large or small that he would not help.

Travis’s life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by his existence will recognize that the imprint he left on all our hearts far exceeded the length of time that he was with us.  Travis’s love was genuine.

Travis leaves to cherish his memory, his loving companion Melda Allen, father Travis Dean Pighee, daughters Tranisha McDade and Tramela Allen, siblings Joan Largent, Denise Seals, Michelle Young (Larry), Travis Coats and Demetrya Jones.  He has eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
