Twila Demetras Davis passed away peacefully in home hospice care, surrounded by her family and love ones on December 29, 2017 after a long 5 year battle with breast cancer. She was born in Akron, Ohio on January 13, 1964 to the late Willie Nell Davis.
She attended Akron Public Schools and was a proud graduate of Kenmore High School’s Class of 1983. Twila was a devoted worker at Graco Children’s Manufacturing Plant in Macedonia, Ohio for over 10 years. Twila loved to watch soap operas such as “The Young & the Restless” and “The Have and The Have Nots” and reality TV shows such as the Housewives of Atlanta and Married to Medicine. She was a devoted, mother, sister, grandmother, cousin and friend. She loved spending time with her family, listening to music, dancing and gossiping on the phone with her cousin Carolyn Brooks. Twila’s bigger than life smile would brighten up any room. Everyone that knows Twila, knew her favorite color was red. She was a strong beautiful woman. She took pride in raising her son as a young, single mother. She never complained about life’s ups and downs. She just took everything in stride and kept it moving. She was a fighter and she remained strong even through her tough battle with breast cancer.
Twila D. Davis was preceded in death by her mother Willie Nell Davis. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son Pares (Gia) Davis, grandchildren, Gaven P. Davis and Graysen A. Davis; the love of her life Edward Richardson, all of Akron; her sisters Kecia (Samuel) Davis-Walker, Tokya Davis, all of Akron; nephews Samuel Walker IV, Corey D. Roper; nieces Sha-Tokya Carter, Ta-Nyeja Brown; special friends, Patricia Brown and Beverly Latson; and a host of aunts, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
