Tyrona J. Toney Jeffries was born to the late Curtis & Lovelace Toney. She received her education through the Akron Public Schools System. She received her high school diploma at Central Hower High School. Later, she was employed at and retired from AMCO Parking Services.
She was well known throughout the Akron Community as “JoAnne”, where she served as a Barmaid at various bars and, of course, she was the life of the party. She loved listening to music and making drinks, and was loved by everyone that she came in contact with.
Tyrona attended The Community Fellowship Chapel over the years. Spiritual development was critical in her life, as well as, spending time with her family.
On March 17, 2021, she entered into eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Jeffries; father, Curtis and mother, Lovelace Toney and [other mother] Annie Mae Williams; sisters, Elsie Toney, Evelyn Toney and Deborah Toney; brother, Curtis Toney Jr.; two great grandchildren, Miracle Toney and Lamonte Graves Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: sisters, Joyce Toney, Claudia Toney, Connie Toney, Barbara Toney, Janet Moore, Versie Watts and Cynthia Slaughter, and other loved siblings; sons, Tyrone (Denise) Toney and Rashimar (Jessica) Toney; daughters, Kasonia (Goliah) Toney and Keliah Jeffries; grandchildren, Dawanna Bickley, Kaniya Bickley, Willie Jones Jr., Tyrail (Demee) Toney, Tynaquia Hayward, Tynaejah Toney, Tynice Toney, Danaejah Toney, Tyrone Toney Jr., Ramonte Jeffries, Joel Jeffries and Say’von Jeffries; special granddaughter, Dijione Swain; lifetime partner, Tony Jackson and a host of great-great grandchildren, other family members and friends .
