Wayne Thomas Davis

After living 72 years in this world, Wayne Thomas Davis transitioned to his eternal home in heaven on May, 16, 2026.  Wayne was a warm hearted, caring man with great faith in God.  In his later years he became very eager to learn and gain knowledge of many different subjects.  He liked what he liked, did what he wanted to do and how he wanted to do it.  He was unconventional, not a man of tradition.  He found great fulfillment in driving a tractor trailer (18-wheeler) for over 25 years.  He worked at PJAX, Central Transport and Cleveland Express Trucking Company.  He retired in 2024 at CET.  During his runs and deliveries, he would talk and interact with people and spread the Good News of Jesus, our Savior.  Wayne delighted in sharing his testimony, giving to those in need on the street, and talking to unsaved and saved people.  It gave him such joy when the Holy Spirit spoke through him to minister to someone hurting, struggling with a situation or in need of understanding.  For almost two years Wayne encouraged, lifted up and urged people with a daily GIF text message.  He loved listening to music and sharing songs with relevance to today.

Wayne exemplified resilience and tenacity as he triumphed through a double lung transfer six years ago, a two-year battle with liver cancer and many other health challenges.  He remained positive and tried to always look up.  The words of II Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”, declare Wayne’s victory.

Wayne will be greatly missed by his wife, Angela, his step children William Ector Jr. and Tiffany Ector, grandson Safaree Tarrence, sister Diane Davis Tutt, brother Darrell Davis {Mary}, the entire Malone family, the Martin family, dear friends, and many acquaintances that have been truly impacted by him.
