William (Bill) Archie Robinson, a good and faithful servant of THE KING, entered into the GLORY OF THE LORD on October 20, 2024. He had this testimony – that he pleased GOD.
William Robinson was born to Archie & Lula Robinson on July 20, 1947 in Whatley, Alabama. He was the eldest of six children. He was raised in Alabama for part of his childhood and worked on his grandfather’s farm. From these experiences, he developed a very strong work ethic that he would carry throughout his life. The family moved to Ohio and settled on Akron’s West Side. He graduated from Buchtel High School and attended Akron University majoring in Marketing.
He met his wife, Denise, while both were attending Akron University. They were married for 54 years.
William and his bride, Denise raised two daughters whom they have loved very much, and who gifted them with two wonderful sons-in-law – whom William considered his bonus sons – he loved them as if they were his own seed. They were also blessed with five grandchildren and two great grandchildren whom they have loved and instructed in the ways of The Lord, and has prayed for continually.
William truly loved all of his family as well as his church family. He especially loved – and was greatly loved by – his kids in the Sunday School Department, where he was known as Mr. Bill. He really placed great importance on spending time with The Lord each morning so that
The Holy Spirit could give him what the children needed in his Sunday school lessons in order for them to become spiritually strong men and women. Many of his kids are now all grown up and serving God faithfully today.
Besides starting a family and serving The Lord together, William and Denise started up, managed and sold several successful businesses over the course of their lives together. But he never took any credit for his business acumen or successes that he experienced in life – he ALWAYS gave all the glory to his CREATOR. He never bragged on himself, he always bragged on
THE LORD, and he sought always to be led by The HOLY SPIRIT in every decision, even the seemingly small ones. The scripture that he probably quoted the most was:
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding; acknowledge Him in all thy ways, and he shall direct thy
paths.
His life’s mission was to always PUT GOD FIRST!
If there is one word that describes William Archie Robinson, that word would be FAITHFUL. He has, for sure, been awarded many stars in his crown for the souls that he has helped to win for The Kingdom due to his FAITHFULNESS to GOD.
William was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Robinson, his father, Archie Robinson; his brother, Gregory Allyn Robinson; his sisters, Amanda Rene (Paul) Lucky, brother Larry Robinson, sister, Mattie Robinson-Webb; and his brother-in-law, Paul Lucky.
William leaves to cherish his memory his faithful and devoted wife of over 54 years, Denise Robinson; his daughters, Dawn (Dennis) Bivens and Dionne (Renardo) Jones; grandchildren Michael (Atrice) Bivens, Trayvon, Marcus, Michaela, and Tavion, two great grandchildren, Tru and Noel, and a host of family and friends.
John 14:1-6
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
