Carol S. (McQueen) Allen left a message on February 26, 2025:
To Mr. Burress' Family and Friends, I am deeply saddened to hear of our loss. Willie Burress was a remarkable individual who touched many lives, including mine. His kindness, integrity, and unwavering commitment to his values inspired all who knew him. I will always cherish the memories of our time together at Erie Shores Bus Lines, Inc. He patiently taught me to drive a stick-shift charter bus as I constantly shut down the bus because I had to get used to double-clutching and shifting. His no-nonsense approach and wealth of experience made him an exceptional mentor. I am grateful for the skills and confidence he and my wasband Willie McQueen helped me develop as a charter bus driver from 1987-1995. Willie's military service to our country exemplified his selfless nature and dedication to others. His steadfast loyalty to his friends and his word were a testament to his character. The world is undoubtedly a better place because of his presence in it. May you find comfort in the countless lives he positively impacted and the legacy of honor he leaves behind. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. May God's love surround you and provide you with strength and peace. With deepest sympathy, Carol S. (McQueen) Allen

Willie my friend. You may be gone but you are not forgotten by the residents of Hudson Meadows. I can remember the smile that came over your face when I presented you with a picture of the ship upon which you served. Thank you for your service in the Navy.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My condolences to the family. Mr Burress was a childhood friend of my father Rev. SW Shinault. He and my father shared a lot of days together before he moved to Ohio from Mississippi. We all loved Mr. Willie and know that he will be missed.
