Willie Earl Brand was born February 9, 1948, in Marion, Alabama from the union of Mary J Robinson & Herbert J Brand. Earl, as he was referred as, was a graduate of East Technical High School.
He accepted Christ at an early age. His parents and siblings worshipped at Mt Nebo Baptist Church.
He was drafted into the US Army and served from 1968 to 1970, during the Vietnam War. Although he always reminded everyone, he was an “electrician by trade”, he was employed with Ford Motor Company, as a Tow motor driver, and retired after 38 years with the company.
His first marriage to Gaynelle Simpson, he was blessed with a daughter, Kimyasa Yvette Brand.
August 4, 1979, he remarried to his devoted and loving wife, Sharon Vance. Through that union they were blessed with a son, William Earl Brand. Her unwavering love and dedication were a true testament to their bond.
Earl loved mustang cars, gardening, spades, poker, time with his family and his favorite pastime “talking ish”. Most of all he loved his interactions with his youngest grandson Kingston, which were a comedy show all in its own.
Preceded in death was his mother Mary J Brand, father Herbert J Brand and two brothers Bobby J Brand and John Brand.
Left to survive his memory is his loving wife Sharon Brand, daughter Kimyasa Brand, son William Earl Brand and daughter in love Rochelle Brand. Grandsons Michael Brand and Kingston Earl Brand, Brothers Willie Frank Brand, Jimmie Brand (Bobbie), David Brand, sister Delois Lathon (Frank). And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt and friends.
