Willie James (Bill) Billingsley was born in Brent, AL on January 23, 1940, to the late Fred Billingsley and Jessie Mae Clark Billingsley.
He professed Christ at an early age and joined the Mount Tabor Baptist Church until moving to Akron, OH in 1970. Bill was retired from the Wadsworth foundry.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gaynelle Harvey; siblings, Joseph Billingsley, Barbara Billingsley, Richard Billingsley, and sister-in-law, Jerrie Billingsley; granddaughter, Shanelle Barney.
He leaves to cherish his memory 6 children, daughters, Glenda Harris Benton of Harbor MI, Sheryl (Willie Jr.) Moore of Brent, Al, sons, Ronnie Bailey of Mauldin, SC, David (Angeline) Sheppard of Brent, Al, Willie Derricott, and Erick Derricott both of Akron OH; brothers, Fred Billingsley of Milwaukee, WI, Frankie (Nancy) Billingsley of Fort Wayne, IN; sisters, Shirley Hernton of Indianapolis, IN, Glenn Billingsley (Maurice) Richardson of Indianapolis, IN, Beverly Billingsley of Fort Wayne, IN, Valerie Billingsley (Earl) Sutton Bridgeport, CT; beloved niece, Cathesia Bouvia Thompson; sister-in-law, Mary Owens of Akron, OH; 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
