Winfred grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Cleveland public schools such as Patrick Henry and graduated from Glenville High School in 1968. Winfred also loved building computers from scratch that was one of his known passions.
He spent most of his years working for General Motors as a Buyer Supervisor where he retired after over 38 years of service.
One of Winkie’s main hangouts back in the day was at a park called the “Hole”! Wink and his Brother Carl hung out there many days not to say what they was doing (LOL). On one occasion they hung out there so long they was supposed to be home before the street lights came on…we all know about the street lights curfew! Brother Donald (RiP) came looking for them and RAN em home! Carl would say, Wink here he comes, we gotta GO! LOL! That was one of their good times!
Winfred loved watching his “soaps”! His favorite one was “The Young and the Restless”. We all know that story line continued on and on forever! When he wasn’t watching the soaps he was watching Westerns and drinking coffee.
And of course he was a sports guy. His favorites was all the Cleveland teams especially the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers. He spent many Sundays with both of his sons Andre and Zach watching sports and cooking which gave him great joy.
One of Winkie’s favorite times of the year was Christmas. The excitement to shop and give his grands and great-grand kids gifts was very special to him and brought him happiness! He wrapped every gift and loved watching the babies rip the paper apart to see what PaPa bought as he looked on with a smile.
Winfred’s first born Son Andre C. Woody gave him three grandkids.
His second born Son Zachary J. Woodie gave him two grandchildren.
