D.A. returned to the Stewart & Calhoun family a year ago, after retiring from the Warren Fire Department with 33 years of meritorious service. He has also been a High School Basketball Coach for over 30 years and is currently the Head Coach for the Ravenna Ravens. Coach A, as he is referred to, has taken great joy in advancing over 25 of his players on to play college basketball. He also has 20+ years of experience as an OHSAA Baseball Umpire. D.A. has served as the NE Ohio Senior Community Coordinator with the Program of Academic Exchange supervising exchange students in NE Ohio since 1992. D.A. graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass-Media Communications and he is also an active member of the Akron Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.

Married to the former Mary L. Dent since 2006, D.A. and his wife are the proud parents of a daughter (Danielle, 36) and a son (D.J., 33). He is the current Co-Leader of the Word Church Welcome Team at the Akron location. In his rare free time, D.A. loves all sports, officiating baseball, playing backgammon, traveling, and playing with his Cavachon puppy, Coco.
