Fredricka “Dee” Jones Betts is a licensed funeral director and embalmer at Calhoun Funeral Home & Cremation Service, as well as a licensed life/health insurance agent in Ohio and Pennsylvania. She received her B.A. in Biology from Kent State University and is finishing her Master’s in Forensic Science. Dee has an Associate of Specialized Technology Degree from Pittsburg Institute of Mortuary Science where she was Salutatorian and Class President of class #124. Dee is a lifetime member of the Mu Sigma Alpha Honors Fraternity at PIMS where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dee was recognized by the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association for being a part of the Mortuary Student Recovery Volunteer Team for 9/11 United Flight #93 in Shanksville, PA.

Dee is a member of City Reach Church Cleveland where she serves on the Worship Team and she is also the Vice President/Coach for the Mentor Cardinal Youth Cheerleading Association. Dee enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband (Don), daughter (Alexa), mother (Donna), and sister (Jennifer).
