Gale considers herself a “homegrown Clevelander”. She graduated from Glenville High School, Ohio University, Kent State University, and the University of Dayton. Her educational background led to jobs in the television, radio, and advertising industries and later into education. Gayle now trains clients in customer service.

Gayle has been a member of Olivet Institutional Baptist Church since she was 5 years old and sings alto in the Voices of Olivet choir. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Gayle is single and cares for her father, stepmother, and maternal aunt.
