Susan is a native of Bluefield, West Virginia, and at the age of eight years old her family relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from East High School and went on to continue her education by attending Cleveland Institute of Medical and Dental Assistants. Upon completion of her studies, Susan was employed by Metro Health Medical Center and later accepted a position at the Cleveland Clinic Medical Center where she has been for more than 25 years.

Susan comes from a loving family. Her father worked at their hometown funeral home, Lugo’s, in Bluefield, West Virginia. She witnessed her father’s care and compassion as he performed his duties with grieving families which led her to work at Calhoun Funeral Home, now proudly a member of the team as a Funeral Service Associate. Her goals upon retirement are to continue to be a part of Calhoun Funeral Home and uplift families in their spiritual healing.

Susan is the proud mother of three wonderful children and the grandmother of six. In her spare time, she enjoys baking and making creative cakes including wedding and birthday cakes.
