Melanie Treece was born in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from East High School where she was an athlete and majored in Cooperative Office Education. She also has basic training in disaster preparedness. Melanie is currently a full-time employee with the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office as a Case Manager and a part-time employee with the Calhoun Funeral Home.

Melanie is a member of the Nation of Islam where she takes pride in her spiritual studies. She is a mother and grandmother and is active in her community.
