Rev. Jesse E. Peterson, Jr. has worked at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home since June 7, 2021.

Rev. Peterson graduated from Kenmore High School. He attended the Bethlehem House of Bread affiliation of Ashland Theological Seminary in pursuit of his Bachelor of Arts in Theology. Rev. Peterson was licensed to preach by the New Hope Baptist Church of Akron, OH on September 17, 1995 and on November 15, 2015 was ordained to the working of the gospel ministry.

Rev. Peterson was employed by the State of Ohio Government from 1986 until he retired in 2021 after 35 years of service. Rev. Peterson worked on numerous committees during his employment with the State of Ohio and in his community such as Diversity in the Workplace and Emerging Leaders Career Development Program. Rev. Peterson is currently a board member of the Akron Parent Pee-Wee Football Association and a past director of 25-plus years with The NWA Hawks Football program.

Rev Peterson is the proud parent of three adult children: Son Jesse, III, and daughters Cheree and Tangier. He is also the proud papa of six grandchildren. Rev. Peterson is a devoted father and papa; he loves his family and thanks God daily for allowing him to spend time with them.
