Timothy is a native of Cleveland, Ohio graduating from East High School in 1980 and Cuyahoga Community College in 1983. He also attended the Cleveland Music School. For 30 years, Timothy was employed with the FedEx Corporation where he received the prestigious FedEx Humanitarian Award in 2005. He is an ordained Elder and Pastor as well as a gifted vocalist and musician. In his current position as Director of music and Associate Pastor at Beautiful Gate Fellowship in Wickliffe, Ohio, Timothy mentors young musicians and he is a faithful servant to the elderly.

Timothy and his wife of 33 years, Glindia Berry James, have two adult children and currently reside in Bedford Heights, Ohio. On weekends, he enjoys volunteering at hospitals visiting with patients.
