On April 12, 2023, Aaron Bradford Mitchell “Squizzy”, beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend regrettably left this earth at the young age of 36 years old.
Aaron was born in Twinsburg, OH to the late Edward (Dell) Mitchell Jr. and Connie Mitchell. He was born with a rare condition known as Marfan Syndrome. Marfan Syndrome is an inherited disorder that affects connective tissues. It affects the heart, eyes, blood vessels, and bones. Historians believe that Abraham Lincoln had the same disorder based on his appearance. It’s a very rare disorder that can cause several complications in one’s life. So as a result, Aaron was limited in various day-to-day activities.
So, even though he stood at 6’5” tall, Aaron could not play his beloved basketball. Therefore, he became the greatest Cleveland sports enthusiast ever! One thing he enjoyed doing so often was to visit his granddad and watch sports on television with him.
No matter if the Browns, Guardians, or especially the Cavs were playing, you’d better believe Aaron would be posting on social media before, during, and after the games. His all-time favorite player is LeBron James. His admiration for LeBron James never wavered, even after LeBron left the Cavaliers twice.
After graduating from Twinsburg High School in 2005, Aaron went on to receive his certificate from The Ohio Center for Broadcasting in Cleveland, OH.
Another one of Aaron’s passions was cologne, so naturally he always smelled great. He enjoyed watching YouTube videos on the latest fragrances or testing the newest fragrances in the stores. Aaron had a passion for graphic art and creating unique characters on t-shirts. He even had a small fan base who wore a caricature of himself on t-shirts, and they’d post photos of themselves wearing them on his social media page.
Aaron was Baptized in 1995 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Twinsburg, OH.
He was one of the kindest people you’d ever meet. He’d always have a huge smile on his face and gave the best hugs with those long, lanky arms and hands of his. Everyone who knew Aaron would tell you just how sweet and loving he was.
Precious memories are held by mother, Connie L. Mitchell; brothers, Edward B. Mitchell III and Christopher Lee Mitchell (Heather); nephew, Edward B. Mitchell IV and niece, Joy Angelina Mitchell, great-nephew, Jayce Dior, grandfather, Edward Philpot, and a host of relatives and friends.
Everyone will miss Aaron’s sweet soul and his towering presence.
He was the personification of what it meant to be a Gentle Giant.
