Abner Cook Jr. “Blue” passed away from on December 21, 2018. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama. Abner attended East High School (East High First, East High Last East High the best of All) Abner was retired from Goodyear Aerospace as a laborer and Chef.
His faith came from thy Heavenly Father who provided all of his strengths. Those who knew him knew he was a die-hard Browns fan. His passion was cooking. He is famous for his “GHETTO BURGERS” and enjoyed cooking throughout Akron, Ohio and other cities within the 50 states. Blue was a character and a comedian full of life. He always kept his family and others in a positive mood. Blue always said, “if have had a pot big enough I can cook you.” And indeed he had those pots. One of Blue’s quotes was, “One thing for sure and two for certain, I have never seen a Brinks truck driving behind a hearse.”
He is preceded in death by father Abner Cook, Sr. mother Katie Cook Webster; grandmother Frances Coleman; sisters Katie McCoy and Brenda Cook; niece Tonya Graves; special nephew Dondi McCoy; cousin Jessie Davis.
Abner leaves to cherish his memories, Sisters Rosetta (John) Freeman, Orba Cook-Jordan, Emma (Charles) Campbell; brother Frank Cook (Akron, OH); sons, Shannon Stevie Nelson, Rodney (Akron OH), (LeAnn) Tarver, Jeff McCall (Akron, OH); special niece Danae; special nephew Darian Veal and Dretuan Parker, special friend Rita Vasser Host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
