Ada B. Patterson was born in Midway, Alabama to the late Buster McKenzie and Cynthia McKenzie.
She retired after 39 years in the medical field as a LPN at Twin Pine Retreat.
Ada was a member of First Apostolic Faith Church. She was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. She sang in the choir at her previous church and she loved the Lord.
She was a loving mother of 4 generations of family members.
Ada (mom, mother, Ms. Ada, Grandma Bell or Granny, which you may have called her) was a loving, caring, protecting provider and servant who showed us what a mother’s love is truly about. She was a jewel, always going over and beyond.
Ada loved to serve others, canning, gardening, baking, cooking and she was excellent in them all. She loved to cook for family gatherings, as she was the glue that kept her family together. She loved fashion and if you saw her, she was well dressed from head to toe.
She had a kind heart which lead people to gravitate towards her. She treated everyone like her own, never showing a difference and was a very special person to many. Ada, would feed anyone in her presence, even the birds. She was straight forward and always told you the truth.
She also had the best sense of humor, always making you laugh. Many have been blessed to have spent time with Ada. She loved the Lord and lived as a true servant of God. She was special. She was an angel. She was our angel!
