Adaeze Lozen Tahani Rose came out fighting for her little life on July 26th, 2024, at 3:46 pm. Although she was small, weighing in at 3lbs 1.4oz, she had a large and vivacious personality from the start. Our precious girl fought hard for almost 4 months, but in that short time, she touched so many lives with her – as we called it – “mischief.” Adaeze had several pet names such as: “Little Houdini,” “Sharp Shooter,” “Little Miss Attitude,” “Mommy’s Girl,” “Princess Warrior,” “Miracle,” and “Empress.”
Adaeze was deeply loved and wanted from the time we found out we were pregnant with her. She was extremely unique and had such a beautiful and feisty soul, hence the variety of pet names she accrued. Her father and I truly feel we birthed an angel. In her short life, Adaeze was loved by her family both far and wide and also by her NICU family, who shared in the love and care of our precious daughter.
So much hope and desire went into how we were to raise her, the languages she would learn, and the instruments she would play, among other things. Adaeze was a beautiful mix of two cultures that we wanted to explore with her as she grew and allowed her to develop an eclectic view of life and the world before her, but she had other plans.
