On January 19th 1984 Adam Marcell McClain was born to the union of Brenda McClain and Levoyus McClain Sr in Cleveland, Ohio. He would be the seventh of ten children born from this union. Adam was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend known for his kind heart and cheerful spirit.
Adam was a proud alumnus of John F. Kennedy High School, where he first discovered his knack for electronics and technology. This passion followed him throughout his life, bringing joy not only to him, but also to those he helped with his skills. Adam enjoyed fixing game consoles, laptops and anything he could get his hands on that he felt was a challenge.
Adam cherished spending time with his life partner Marita “Rita” Garner who he began dating in 2005. Together they raised her son Malik Smith who now has a son, Alegend Smith. Adam was a kid at heart and enjoyed playing and joking around with his nieces and nephews every chance he got. His love for scary movies was well-known among his friends and family, as were his sweet tooth cravings for chocolate chip cookies and cake. His deep sense of family was evident. Adam was the type of guy that would call his mother Brenda every evening after her work shift and would stay on the phone with her until he was certain she made it home safely. He was also a man of many passions. He enjoyed talking with family and friends about almost anything including his favorite artist Tupac, politics and even cryptocurrency. Adam was the glue that held the family together. Whenever there was conflict, he would be the person his siblings would call to get a sense of reason.
Adam is survived by his mother; Brenda, sisters; Shanese, Sharria, and Chaleeia brothers; Levoyus Jr. (LeTisha), Franklin, Randy, Christian, and Christopher Tatum, aunts; Linda Hardaway, Wanda Hardaway, uncles; Beller Hardaway, Antoine Hardaway and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
