Alan Gerard Hardwick was born on April 30, 1960 to Willie C. Hardwick and Ozella Williams Hardwick. He was the youngest of two children. He was predeceased in death by his son, Alec Hardwick Kube and his mother, Ozella Elizabeth Williams Hardwick.
Alan attended both Cleveland Public Schools and Maple Heights Public Schools. He graduated from Maple Heights High School in 1978; he was an active member of the basketball team. Alan received his Bachelor of Science degree from Defiance College in 1982. After college, he worked as a social worker for several years. At the time of his death, Alan was a Chief Information Officer for JACK Thistledown Racino.
Alan married Lorna and to this union two children were born, Blake and Alec. He relocated to Illinois, Arizona, and Atlanta before returning to Cleveland.
He accepted Christ at an early age and attended Lee Memorial AME Church and most recently Mount Enon Missionary Baptist Church.
Alan was a sports aficionado and an avid and devoted Cleveland Browns Fan.
Alan’s life will be remembered and his memories cherished by his son, Blake Hardwick Kube; his father, Willie C. Hardwick; his brother, Jerome R. (Renée) Hardwick; nieces Angela (Curtis) Clark; Jennifer Hardwick; Michelle Hardwick; nephew Devon Gule; great niece Marie Clark and great nephews Devon Gule, Jr. and Beau Clark and a host of cousins and many other treasured family members and friends.
