Albert D. Reese was born in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Annie (Dillard) Reese and Joseph
Reese on May 22, 1932. He attended Wenonah High School in Birmingham, AL. He received Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Galilee Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Annie and siblings Malissa, Mamie Lee, Robert, John, Dorothy, Joeseph and Samuel.
After meeting the love of his life, Albert was united in marriage to Amanda Houston in 1957. To this union were born three sons: Albert, Derrick, and Desmond. He also leaves a son Anthony Terrell, born in Cleveland, Ohio to cherish his memory.
He was employed by the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) where he was a
dedicated, hard worker for thirty-two years. After his retirement he was able to continue his passion for completing tax returns.
Albert Reese departed this life peacefully at the Cleveland Clinic hospital (Euclid) on Sunday,
November 19, 2023. Albert leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 66 years, Amanda Reese; four sons, Anthony, Albert Jr., Derrick, and Desmond; ten grandchildren Justin, Aaron, Ryan, Diamond, Ashley, Shanell, Shantly, Marie, Yama and Mario: and a host of great grandchildren; an incredibly special and loving niece Deborah Streeter (Reese) of Birmingham, Alabama; his loving nephew Keith Reese from Atlanta, Georgia; and a host nieces, nephews, family and friends.
