Albert Lucas was born July 18, 1935 to the late Saul Lucas and late Thelma Letcher (Lucas) in Cleveland, Ohio.

Albert was united in holy matrimony to Betty Jo Williams and with that union came four children: Beverly Pinkney (Mack, Sr), Gwendolyn Lucas, Albert Lucas, Jr (preceded him in death), and Darryl Lucas, Sr (JoAnn).

Albert later met and married Barbara Louise McDonald in August 1994 and they shared 2 children: Dani Lynn Wilson (deceased) and Victoria Richardson. In this union, they were married for 28 long and happy years.

Albert went to East Tech High School and later joined the United States Army in 1955 until 1963. Albert joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in 1994.

Albert later worked for Cleveland Twist Drill, and then for Wine Distributor where he retired and then went back. Albert was also a member of the Teamsters Local 293.

Albert and Barbara loved to roller skate, travel, and venture to all the casinos.

Albert leaves to cherish in his memory his loving wife, Barbara Lucas. One sister Beverly Jordan (Randy), brother Ronald Hawkins (deceased), two sisters-in-law Betty Thornton (Maurice) and Beverly Childress. Four children, Beverly Pinkney (Mack, Sr), Gwendolyn Lucas, Albert Lucas, Jr (preceded him in death), and Darryl Lucas, Sr (JoAnn), 2 step children, Dani Lynn Wilson (deceased) and Victoria Richardson. His loving grandchildren: Jason Lucas, Sr., Hillarie Pinkney, Mack Pinkney Jr. (Larissa), S. Nichole Thompson (Maurese), Darryl Lucas, Jr., Darance Lucas, Devin Lucas, Stefanie Richardson, and Sean Richardson (Kristin); great grandchildren, Jason, Jr, Willow, Maleah, Legend, Omolara, Macklin, Ela, Parker, Scarlet, Paige (deceased)
