Aleeta Yvette Seals was born on January 21, 1982, in Cleveland Ohio to parents Lekeeta Seals Horton and Aldurant Arrington. The number 4 was always special to Aleeta, a symbol she carried throughout her life. It feels fitting that even in Aleeta’s transition, that number remains intertwined with her story, reminding us of the love, protection, strength, and spiritual light she shared so freely with others. 44 years of beautiful existence and experiences, Aleeta was a human Butterfly, Social, vibrant, loving, and unforgettable, the life of the party. A Care Bear and a Sour Patch all at once. Aleeta had a spirit that could light up a room, comfort a hurting heart, or push you to do better all in the same conversation. She was the person you could call when you needed someone to vent to, and also the one you called when you wanted to take a random road trip, or catch a flight somewhere just because life was meant to be lived. Aleeta didn’t only impact people in her immediate community but touched lives from state to state. At only 5 feet tall, she somehow still made everyone feel protected.
She was strong, headstrong, determined, nurturing, and a provider in every sense of the word.
Aleeta loved deeply, her family, her friends, and the people God placed in her path. There was never just one way to describe Aleeta because she truly did it all. She was a computer geek, a fitness coach, a nutritionist, a therapist to many, a shoe collector, a comedian when you needed laughter, a financial advisor, a delivery person, an accountability partner, and a spiritual soul who cared deeply about meditation, peace, healing, and alignment. Aleeta could align your chakras with crystals one moment and encourage your spirit the next.
She gave to people freely. Though she jokingly could be stingy with her money, she was never stingy with her heart. She carried heavy burdens but would always say “I’m built for this”
She believed she was called to help others, and she ministered to people in her own unique way through love, honesty, laughter miles of wisdom, and presence. Aleeta was everything and anything you needed in the moment, your friend, your sis, your ride or die, your teddy when you needed to cry. There was truly no limit to the lives she touched.
Aleeta was employed at LexisNexis in Georgia.
