A celebration of Alfred’s life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at Williams Temple Church of God and Christ  6812 Woodland Ave., Cleveland, OH 44104., with Reverend Lemar McKenzie officiating.

 

Alfred Bland Wood, known to many as “Twin” and known to his children as “Pop”, went on to be with the Lord on March 3, 2019, at the age of 61 years old. He was born on November 18, 1957 to James and Gladys Wood, who preceded him in death. He graduated from East Technical High School and was an avid supporter to the end. He was an active member of Olivet Missionary Baptist Church and was a legend in the Cleveland community, known by many for his loving and giving spirit.

Alfred will forever be planted in the hearts of his loved ones, survived by his wife Lois, sons Alfred Bland Jr. (Renika), Alan Michael, and Alex James, 4 grandchildren, Rachel, Alfred III, Cassidy, and Alan II, 7 siblings, Renarde (Marlene), LiNita, Anthony (Joyce), his identical twin brother Albert, Beverly (Robert), Donna, and Lynn (who preceded him in death). Alfred will also be forever remembered by his Goodfellas, and a host of other cousins, friends, family, and members of the Cleveland community who had the pleasure of knowing him.
