Alfie Mae (nee Knight) Beaton was born April 8, 1929 in Soso, Mississippi to the late John and Eland Knight. Alfie transitioned to her heavenly resting place on Wednesday February 28, 2018 at 4:10am.  In her passing, she leaves 3 children John Newell, Alfreda Grant, and Thomas Newell (Sharon), 3 sisters, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson and a host of cherished nieces, nephews and friends.
