Alton Baker was born April 24, 1948, to George and Hattie Baker. He grew up with two brothers and two sisters in Wilson North Carolina. He grew up on a farm and loved to take care of animals even though he lived in the city, deep down inside he was a country boy. During the time in North Carolina, he met Barbara Ann Sanders and fathered a child Ricky Sanders. Shortly after leaving North Carolina he moved to Cleveland Ohio and began working at Bobbie Brooks. Later he met Geraldine Davis and to this union Alton Andre Baker was born.
Al instantly became a stepfather to her five kids Gwen, Paula, Anthony, Rennota and Kevin.
Al was a fun-loving person with a warm heart, he was Passionate about Fishing, gardening and being outdoors. He loved traveling to his hometown. He also loved going to casinos. Al was a hard worker, he was a supervisor and load operator at Aluminal Smelting for 30+ years.
Later after Geraldine’s passing he met and Married Diane Johnson and became stepdad to her daughter Tiffany. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Diane his brother Willard two sons Ricky and Andre, his stepchildren, grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.
