Angela Germaine Smith was the only child born to the union of Matthew Smith Jr. and Hattie Leak-Smith. She was born on June 27, 1965. Angela spent her youth and most of her adulthood living in the Clevland Heights area. She attended Cleveland Heights High School. After graduating she attended Cuyahoga Community College before transferring to Toledo University. Angela’s desire was to become a manicurist and have her own business, so she invested and went to a well-known School of Cosmetology to get her certificate, but she didn’t stop there she took additional training in order to obtain her State license to start her own business. It was called, “Salon-On- Wheels” which she operated for over ten years. When the economy changed and fewer people were getting their nails done, she took a job with Cleveland Clinic where she worked for the last sixteen years until her untimely death. In 2018, Angela discovered that she had Ovarian Cancer which presented a painful physical and mental challenge. But this did not deter her from her other goal which was to further her education. She went on to earn her bachelor and MBA during the period that she was getting chemo treatments and working her job at Cleveland Clinic where she was a Surgical Supply Inventory Coordinator.
Angela loved doing things with her daughter Arianna, and her mom Hattie, both of whom she was very proud of, and you would see them on Facebook at a favorite restaurant with huge smiles on their faces on special occasions. She also enjoyed being in the Travel Business with her dad whom she loved and admired his persistence and dependability in always being there in her time of need. She stated her best vacation ever was her and Arianna going to Aruba with him and Yvonne. Angela truly loved her siblings, Matt 111, Ted, Cheryl and Loren. They were a funny bunch when they got together.
She leaves to morn, her mother Hattie Smith, father Matthew Smith Jr., daughter, Arianna Walker, brothers, Teddy J Smith, Loren Hargrove, sister, Cheryl Grant, Uncles, Amos Smith, (Herman Smith, Ulyssis Leak, Govan Emerson, deceased) (from Atlanta Ga.) Steve Williford (Bryan, Texas). Aunts, Yvonne Leak, and (Velma Nash -deceased). (Atlanta, Ga) Emma J. Smith, Marvalene Smith -(deceased) and a host of Nieces, Nephews, cousins, and many friends.
