Anita Beatrice Collins-Jackson was born on February 14th. 1931, to Cornelius McClure (Neal) Collins Sr. and Della Lola Adair-Collins both (deceased).
Anita was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio. She was baptized at an early age. Anita attended the Cleveland Public School system. She graduated from John Hay High School.
Anita’s first job in 1948 was at Joe Miller grocery store until 1949. From 1950 to 1955 she worked at the Federal Reserve Bank. On June 29, 1952, she married Tommy J. Lynch (deceased), and from this marriage a son was born, Tommy Lynch (CA). Anita and Tommy J. Lynch were divorced in 1959. Anita was a single parent for several years.
In 1956, Anita worked at the US Navy Finance Center until 1969. Also that year, she married Attorney Cleveland Walter Jackson (deceased).
In 1980 Anita started working at the Shaker Heights School Board of Education. Anita retired from the board in 1998. Anita loved to bake, her specialty was baking coconut cakes from scratch.
Anita is survived by her son Tommy Lynch (CA), grandson Thomas C. Lynch (CA), great-grandson Jayce T. Willams-Lynch (CA), brother Cornelius M. Collins (OH), sister Della Constance Black (OH), brother Paul Eugene Collins (OH) (Deceased), and she is survived by a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
