Anita Kathleen Lee, age 91, was born on May 16, 1935, in Galloway, West Virginia, to the late Ervin and Easter Chavous. Anita went home to be with the Lord July 21, 2026.

Anita accepted the Lord at an early age and joined the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Akron Ohio. The family moved to Copley, Ohio in 1950. She graduated from Copley High School in 1954. She then joined the Beulah Baptist Church under the covering of Rev. Allison.

Anita was the devoted wife of the late Rev. Robert Lee. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service to God. As the faithful First Lady of Beulah Baptist Church, where Rev. Lee served as pastor, Anita poured her heart into every ministry she touched. She directed the church choir, led songs and directed church plays. She lovingly created costumes, and faithfully prepared speeches for the children to recite. She served with grace, humility, and joy, always encouraging others to use their gifts for the glory of God.

She was a dedicated Computer Operator and Supervisor with Sage Corporation, where she earned the respect of her colleagues through her leadership, diligence, and professionalism. She was also an active member of the Ministers Wives Association in Akron, Ohio, faithfully supporting fellow ministry families and exemplifying Christian service.

Anita possessed extraordinary creative talents. She enjoyed drawing, sewing, writing, and creating beautiful things with her hands. Her home was filled with love, warmth, and unforgettable meals that brought family and friends together. She delighted in caring for her family and demonstrated unconditional love through her generosity, wisdom, and quiet strength.

More than anything, Anita loved the Lord with all her heart, mind, and soul. She lived the example of the virtuous woman described in Proverbs 31. Her faith was unwavering, her compassion limitless, and her legacy one of love, service, and devotion. Her life touched countless people, and her influence will continue for generations to come.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving children: Karen Dinkins, Deborah (Kenneth) Winters, Robert Lee, and Michelle (Jimmie) Gibson; her beloved grandchildren: Natalie (Lamont) Davis, Lakita, Michael, Jessica, Camille, and Devont; her cherished great-grandchildren: Minyonne, Armonte, Nicolette, Nicholas, and Nico; her treasured great-great-grandchildren: Joziah, Maci, and Sylance; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Robert Lee; her parents, Ervin and Easter Chavous; her brother, Jerry Chavous; her son-in-law, Michael Dinkins; and her grandson, Jeremiah Bernard Winters.

Although our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice knowing she has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Her love, wisdom, strength, and unwavering faith will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
