Anita Edmiston, 75, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Anita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose life was rooted in her strong faith and unwavering love for her family. Her relationship with God guided her throughout her life and provided strength, comfort, and hope through every challenge she faced. She lived with grace, compassion, and a servant’s heart, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Anita found her greatest joy in her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Her home and heart were always open, and she was a source of wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lewis Edmiston; her grandson, Antoinne Edmiston II; her nephew, Eric McKinney; her parents, Clifford McKinney and Eloise McKinney; and her siblings, Corabelle McKinney, Gregory McKinney, and Gerald McKinney.
She leaves behind her loving sons, Robert Edmiston and Antoinne Edmiston; her devoted daughter-in-law, Natalie Edmiston, whose love and care brought her comfort in her final years; her cherished grandchildren, Kanisha Edmiston, Arielle Urich, Robert Varnel Edmiston Jr., Thomas Taylor, Are’Ana Lee, Ashley Edmiston, Myra Lewis, and Antionne Richardson; and her beloved uncle, Hank Gardner. She also leaves behind many beloved great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Her legacy of faith, strength, love, and devotion to family will continue to live on through the generations she helped shape.
