Ann L. Butler, 90, entered into eternal rest after a short illness on January 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Born to Edward and Dorothey Butler on October 25, 1930, in Norwalk, Ohio, Ann lived her life always caring for others and served her community as a resident aide, volunteer foster grandparent, and devoted homemaker.
Ann touched the lives of those who had the pleasure of meeting her acquaintance, with her sharp wit and an uncanny sense of humor. Her no-nonsense approach to child-rearing leaves many stories for future generations to pass along. Ann enjoyed baking, dining out, hosting family barbecues and dinners, and playing cards. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and their children. She also enjoyed shopping outings and watching political commentary and will forever be remembered for her admirable strength and unconditional love. Ann accepted Christ Jesus as her savior and emphatically proclaimed her heavenly home. She attended church services at the City of Joy Life Enrichment Center.
She was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Dorothey Butler; daughter, Victoria Wilson; son, Walter Lee; brothers, Rev. Harold Butler, Herbert Butler, Edward Butler, Arthur Butler; sisters, Bertha Whack, Betty Harris, and Gertrude Butler; grandson, Terell Wilson; and special friend, Clyde Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memory grandchildren, Barry Lee, Monica Lee, Carmen Wilson, Travis Wilson II, Misha Augustine (Horace), Shantese Lee, and Danita Lee; brother, Jack R. Butler (Carolyn); 16 great-grandchildren, 4 great, great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Special friends to include, Nate Willis, Andre Butler, Connie Lee, Annette Harris (Detroit, MI), Monique Cooley, Rashad Valmont, Linda Pennington (Little Rock, AR), Barbara Williams (Canton, OH), Otis Johnson, Greg Levy, Miyoshi Levy and Mrs. Mary Cooper.
