Annie Pearl Sammons was born on August 10, 1951, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Burgess and Margaret B. (Lovelady) Sammons. She passed away on November 24, 2019.
Annie attended Booker T. Washington High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a Christian, born and raised in the church, due to her father, Burgess, being a pastor.
She was employed at Chrysler for 25 years and retired in the early 2000’s. After retiring, she spent most of her time traveling, as well as spending time with her family.
She had six siblings, three children, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, Burgess and Margaret Sammons; son, Dwayne Sammons, and sisters, Sandra Sammons and Patricia Washington.
She leaves behind her daughters, Carla McAllister and Nicole Sammons; grandchildren, Brittani and Jasmine McAllister, Tiana and Kamira Sammons; great-grandchildren, Nah’Lea, Malaysia, Aiden, and Sa’Draya; brothers, Thaddeus Sammons of Birmingham, AL, Darrel Sammons, Gaylon (Jackie) Sammons of Akron, OH; sister, Pamela Sammons of Chattanooga, TN; nieces, ShaRonda and Tammy Sammons, Adrienne Sammons, Starla Brooks, Shieda Sammons and Saibrea Bogan; nephews, Julius and Shannon Sammons, and a host of family and friends.
