Anna Lee Hatch, affectionately known as “Sandy”, gained her wings on February 18th 2026.
Sandy was born January 10th 1940 to Levi & Essie Rushin. She attended Akron Public Schools, graduating from South High School in 1958. In 1963, she married the love of her life, Ben Hatch Jr. and together they raised two beautiful daughters. Sandy dedicated 20 years to Akron Public Schools as a cafeteria assistant, where her presence left an everlasting impact on those who knew her.
Sandy enjoyed watching her stories, bus trips to the casino, spending time with family, and meeting with her friends in the Ed Davis Senior Group.
Sandy was a lifelong member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church for over 50 years up until her sudden illness.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Ben Hatch Jr. ; parents, Levi and Essie Mae Rushin; brothers, Willie Hogan and Herman Rushin; sisters, Mary Bibby and Sophie Sadler; grandson, Desmond Hodoh
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Yurvonicka Hatch (Dale) and Dion Hatch; Granddaughters, Tiana Hatch, Tanisha Hatch, and Tiara Hatch (Tatum); Grandson, Devante’ Hatch; Great Grandchildren, Ra’Niya, Tylen, Syx, Amavi, Rovonni, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
