Annie Will Johnson, 94, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on August 19, 2023. She was born on October 17, 1928, in Clayton, Alabama.
Annie graduated from Barbour County Training School and was the first in her family to attend college. After relocating to Akron, she was employed for many years at Akron City Laundry and Cleaning Company. She concluded her work career as an in-home care provider, a position she was well suited for as she loved and cared for all she encountered.
Although she never married or had children, Annie helped raise and support generations of family members throughout her lifetime. She is survived and lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews Lynette Franklin, Diane Waters, Don (Evelyn) Franklin, James Johnston, Eddie (Yvonne) Johnston, Collie (Shirley) Johnston, and a host of dear family and friends.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Collie Johnston, and sister, Rennie Franklin.
Annie will always be cherished for the values she taught and for the love she so freely gave.
