Anthony “Tony” Jerome Andrus was born on September 15, 1951.
Tony peacefully entered Heaven’s Gates on March 22, 2019, to live eternally with the Lord.
Tony lived a long, blessed life as a hard, determined worker where he attended Garfield High School and joined the Job Corps. Tony had a passion for playing baseball for the Southside Gold Diggers, Roscoe Rompers and The Al Caf. After he joined the Job Corps, he preceded to the army. After participating in the army, Tony worked on the pipeline as a heavy equipment operator in Alaska and other countries.
Tony was a well-known veteran and served in the Vietnam War. Tony retired from Hackett Steel Company in Canton, OH.
Tony is preceded in death by his loving parents, Preston L. Sr. And Mattie Andrus, his daughter, Tanishia Andrus, and his great-nephew, Deandre Andrus.
He leaves to cherish his siblings, Preston L. (Jenett) Andrus Jr., Anita (Dennis) Milan, Philip Andrus, Dessena Andrus, Jackie (Ron) Jackson, Harriet Harrison, Tracy Clark, all of Akron, OH, Barbara (Cleve) Gastil, of Houston, TX. He also leaves to cherish his grandchildren, Torrey Martell Andrus-Caldwell, Amaneui Andrus, and Sir Malachi Andrus; great-grandchildren, Torrey Andrus-Caldwell and Holden Trust Andrus-Caldwell; his ride or die partner in crime, Richard “CITGO” Williams; best friends, Robert Price, Dougie Wack and Tony Mitchell; his loving ex-wife, Marsha Andrus; his caregiver, Charessa Banks, and a host of other loving family and friends.
