April Delilah Pierson passed away Sunday April 14, 2024. She was born in Cleveland Ohio on April 24, 1986, the oldest child of Kenneth Pierson Sr. and Teea Moore.

April was baptized at an early age at the Euclid Avenue Church of God and Christ.

April attended Harvey Rice Elementary, Audubon Jr. High, and Jane Addams Business
Career Center.

Upon graduating from high school, she continued her education, and graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in Criminal Justice.

She started working in food service becoming a manager at Fat Burger restaurant. After leaving Fat Burger, she continued employment in Safety and Protection Services at the Cleveland Public Library.

April liked volunteering her services as a mentor with at risk girls and children. She loved to read books, sing, travel, and outdoor activities. She especially loved to make people laugh and was a great mimicker.

April was proceeded in death by her paternal grandmother Deliliah Richardson, her maternal great grandmother Dosha Culp and Grandmother Erena Smith.

April leaves to cherish her memory, her father Kenneth (Gwendolyn) Pierson of Maple Heights, her mother Teea Moore of East Cleveland, Grandmother Dorothy Bonner, brothers Kenneth Jarell Pierson Jr. and Alante Evans, and a host of relatives and friends.

April you will always be my beautiful butterfly love you always

I have to say it. I wrote some words for my girl April. But i wont get to share them. But when we did talk it was always meaningful and with purpose and I wish we could of kept talking. I loved and appreciated her intelligence and her spirit and many times it would bring me joy and fix me when i wasnt feeling good about my own life. She always made room to make joy for others even when she wasnt happy. Bless her and ill miss her very much.

To the family & friends of Ms. April. Truly she was an awesome SPS Officer of the Cleveland Public Library. One whom was always very nice and full of bubbly personality. She is missed. May God be your strength and comfort during this transition, and may He heal each of you where you hurt.

April was often the first colleague I would see at Cleveland Public Library upon entering the building. She always had a big smile on her face and a cheerful greeting to impart.
