It is with deep love and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Archie Grier, who ended his battle with illness on May 20th, 2025.
Archie was a charismatic, vibrant soul-always smiling, and often singing. He had an unpredictable, joyful spirit that brought laughter and warmth to every room he entered. His humor and unique charm were unmatched.
A man of presence and reliability, he loved deeply and lived boldly. He found peace in nature, taking long walks to visit family and friends, and joy in playing cards or placing a bet-mostly for the thrill of connection. Music ran through his veins; he would sing at any opportunity, sharing his passion with those lucky enough to hear.
He leaves behind his loving wife Kathleen, his devoted son Darryl, cherished daughter Lisa, and adopted daughter Staci. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Darryl Jr., Brittany, Joseph, Michaela, Milana, Carlisa, Coree, and Maurice. He also cherished his great-grandchildren: Chloe, Jacen, Santana, Layla, Kadence, Lianna, and Camilla. He is preceded in death by his great-grandchild Semaj, whom he now embraces again.
He is also remembered with love by his siblings: Sylvester, Ed, and Bonnie. He was preceded in death by his beloved siblings Leonard (Mane), Alex, Jeff, and Dorethia.
His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him-family, friends, and the many lives he touched with his humor, love, and unforgettable presence.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday June 6th at Calhoun Funeral Home in Bedford, Ohio from 4-7pm. Family and friends are invited to share memories, laughter, and songs in honor of a man who gave us so many.
