Audrey was born to JD Gardner and Willie Mae Lamar and was raised in Fairfield Alabama by her great grandparents Ida and Jim Lamar. Audrey attended the public schools in Fairfield Alabama where she met  her lifelong girlfriends that formed the teen group the “Corteens”. Audrey graduated from Fairfield Industrial High School Shortly in 1965 , shortly after graduation she moved to Cleveland Oh and married in 1967  from this union Kim and Curt Curt were born. Not long after around 1970 Audrey began working at Cuyahoga Community College as a secretary where she was promoted and often recognized as a dedicated and dependable worker. She later retired in 2004 and decided she would enjoy her retirement and watch her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. She enjoyed reading ,traveling and spending time with family and friends. In 2017 Audrey’s health begin to decline but she fought and maintained a long strong battle until she decided she did not want to face her health challenges any longer and entered into eternal rest on May 1, 2026 at Reserve Hospice House.

Audrey also affectionately known as mama Audrey by Kim’s friends will be remembered as the heart of her family, known for her nurturing and good cooking. She brought warmth to all who knew her. She is forever remembered by Kim (daughter) Curt(son)  Booski ,Nicole(2021) Kasey, Jewell , Nicholas , Zya and EJ
