Augusta Smalley was born on May 21, 1934, in Corinth, Mississippi to the late Freddy Holiday and Mary Barnett. Augusta attended Sterling High School in Sheffield, Alabama where she later received her GED. As an adult Augusta had various jobs including working as a Security Guard for CMHA. She was also a member of Greater Friendship and Good Shepherd during her lifetime.
Augusta transition on Thursday, December 1st, 2022. She was preceded in death by her daughter Hazel Cotton and son, Jefferson Malone. She leaves to mourn one brother, Jack Holiday of Gary, Indiana; 4 daughters, Mona and Freida Smalley of Cleveland, Ohio; Barbara Edmonson of Tuscumbia, Al and Deborah Love (Willie) of Memphis, TN; 2 Sons, Russell Smalley of Cleveland, Ohio and James Smalley (Yolano) of Columbus, Ohio. 13 Grandchildren, 22 Great grandchildren, and 7 Great-great grandchildren.
